Edin Dzeko is the young Bosnian star thats what they call him. Edin Dzeko was born on 17 March 1986. He currently plays for the club VFL Wolfsburg and plays for the international team Bosnian and Herzegovina. Džeko made his debut at FK Zeljeznicar playing as a midfielder between 2003–2005 but scoring only one goal in a total of 40 games. He had a loan spell with Usti nad labem in 2005, during which he scored six goals in 15 games. Later that year, he moved to Czech club FK Teplice playing there until 2007 and scoring 16 goals in 28 games. He was the top scorer of the Czech Premier League in the 2006–07 season. Due to his excellent performances, ex-manager Felix Magath of VFL Wolfsburg signed him for$4 million euros.He scored his first UEFA Champions League goal on 30 September 2009 against Manchester United in a 2-1 defeat at Old Tr afford .He is one of 30 players nominated for the 2009 Ballon d'Or.He made his senior debut against Turkey on 2 June 2008. It was a memorable debut for the player, which he capped off with a volleyed goal from the edge of the penalty area during first half stoppage time . The goal leveled the score at 2 – 2 and Bosnia then went on to win 3 – 2.
